I wish PageLines could have multiple “sets” of Site Options and Page Options because then you could specify different site widths, responsive settings, and have more granular control of archive pages.
Additionally, this would allow for easier display management of very specific use cases, like a totally separate display/setup (e.g. logo, social profile links, site title, etc.) for Custom Post Types, certain pages, etc.
For example, let’s say I want to create a page called “Mini Homepage” and it has a site width of 600px, responsive. Then the “main” site is 1200px, fixed. Then I add something to .htaccess or functions.php to detect mobile visitors and direct homepage visits to “Mini Homepage” (e.g. site.com/minihome) instead of the real homepage (e.g. site.com).
This is not the most prominent example, but it’s one I just came up with as a simple illustration. More complex/likely use cases would be for displaying a lot of microsites/single page sites without WordPress MultiSite. I’m not explaining these examples very well, but I hope you can understand the nature of my wish.
Oh, and it’d be nice to be able to edit the code for sections via wp-admin, like in the Plugin editor and Theme editor. But that’s not as important.
Now where’s that magic genie lamp?
